Spring is here and we are SO excited about our April schedule. There is something for everyone! From our NEW After Hours Teen Hangout to our Author Talk with Colorado author Camille Dungy at Freight, the library has you covered on fun & creative ways to connect with your community this month.

After Hours Teen Hangout
Every Other Friday | April 10 & 24| 6-8pm | Teens Only!
Calling all teens! The library is yours for the evening. Bring a friend, play a game, work on something creative, or just relax. This is an open, low-key hangout space for teens. There will be snacks!
Community Writing Group
Third Saturday, Monthly | April 18 | 1-3:30pm | Ages 18+
Join our monthly Community Writing Group for a calm, creative afternoon. Whether you’re journaling, drafting, or just free-writing, you’re welcome here. We’ll provide an optional prompt and plenty of quiet time to write during this dedicated time to get the ideas flowing.
The third Saturday of every month.

Earth Day Author Talk with Camille Dungy
Thursday, April 30th| 5:30-8:30 | Freight | All ages
Join LCPL & C4 at Freight for Camille T. Dungy is an acclaimed author, poet, and scholar whose work sits at the heart of modern ecopoetry. With beauty and emotional depth, she draws on her experiences as a Black woman in the United States to explore themes of motherhood, care, cultivation, and the surprising gifts of the natural world.
- Doors open at 5:30 with a FREE community dinner.
- Author talk starts at 6:30 followed by Q&A & book signing.
- The event is FREE and open to all.

Magnetic Poetry Jam

Celebrate National Poetry Month with DIY magnetic word sets made in the Creation Station. From quiet nature imagery to playful absurdity, create spontaneous poems on your own or together. We'll share our poems with each other but no pressure! Just fun with words.
Creative Reset: Felt Friends

Unplug and make something with your hands. Create a small felted friend using simple needle felting techniques in this relaxed, beginner-friendly creative workshop. All supplies provided.

Storytime from 10:30-11am - Fun read-alouds and activities to build literacy: read-sing-talk-write-play! Then stay & play from 11-11:30am - Make new friends and enjoy open-ended playtime while developing fine and gross motor skills and supporting social emotional learning. No registration required.

Every month we read one book, and meet on the 1st Wednesday to discuss our readings. Discussion meetings held in the Library, or around town.
Once you register, Finn from the library will reach out with details regarding the month's and readers may come to the library to get their book for the upcoming month.
*At least 8 copies of the book on hand--first come, first serve.*
Second Wednesday, Monthly | 4:00-5:00pm | Ages 8-12
Join us for a hands-on, creative craft experience where you’ll build your very own Photo Ferris Wheel! Participants will assemble a miniature Ferris wheel structure and customize it with photos, colors, and decorations. Bring your favorite personal photos if you’d like to add a special touch to your creation! Or we can take pictures for you.
Every Other Thursday | March 9 & 23 | 10:30-11:30 | Ages 0-5
Let’s laugh, learn, and explore two languages! Enjoy stories, songs, and activities in English and Spanish designed to spark joy and early literacy. This program will be held every other Thursday, alternating with Little Explorers Club.
Every Other Thursday | March 2, 16, 30 | 10:30-11:30 | Ages 0-5
We’ll dive into hands-on experiments, crafts, and early learning fun as we explore shapes, colors, and letters. Everyone is welcome! We’ll also have time to play and learn together with friends. This program will be held every other Thursday, alternating with Cuentitos & Giggles.
Every Other Thursday | 4-5:30 | April 9th & 23rd | Ages Tween - Teen
Explore digital illustration using iPads and Procreate in this creative studio-style program for teens. Each session features fun drawing challenges and plenty of time to experiment and create your own artwork. No experience required — all skill levels welcome. Perfect for teens interested in art, animation, comics, and design.
iPads provided - but feel free to bring your own if you have one. Space is limited.
Every Other Thursday | 3:45 - 5 | April 16th & 30th | Ages 8-12
The Game Hub Club is a video game program for tweens. A fun, social space where kids ages 8-12 can play age appropriate video games with different consoles, work together, and build friendships. This program encourages teamwork, problem solving, and positive communication while providing a safe and welcoming environment outside of school!
Note: Due to limited consoles/controllers, it is a first come first serve BUT most pc’s/controllers/iPads will be taken by Project Dream.

Join the Tarot Tarts to enjoy a space of community while learning more about tarot. Bring your deck or use one of ours! No registration required.

Are you an adult who likes playing games? Whether you're new to board games or a pro, come to the library and have fun with us! Every month we'll have a different featured game. Popcorn, hot chocolate, and tea will be provided; feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Leave your kids at home & bring your competitive spirit! No registration required.

Every Friday, build decks, trade cards, and challenge friends to matches. Suggested for ages 12+ but all interested are welcome! No registration required.
