Lake County Public Library

Genealogy

For a small county library, we are fortunate in having a surprising number of well organized tools for Lake County Genealogical research. Visitors are urged to allow ample time because genealogical research, to be really thorough, takes a lot of time. The library staff can assist you with your searches and show you where our sources are located and help you get started.

Our local history staff can also perform limited searches for you. Requests are searched in the order received and you will be billed only for photocopies you request. Please contact us or submit the reference request form.
